Introduction
ThlS report concerns award of bid to furnish and del1ver 2-cubic
yard metal refuse containers for the Solld Waste Divis1on,
Environmental and PubllC Works Management Department, at specif1ed
unit prices plus applicable sales tax,
Background
In response to publlshed Notices Invlt1ng Bids (published August
23, 24, 1994) to furnish and deliver 2-cubic yard metal refuse
contalners, ln accordance with Clty speciflcations, bids were
rece1ved and publ1cly opened and read on September 8, 1994.
Proposal forms were malled to two vendors and notices were
advertised in accordance with Clty Charter and Municlpal Code
provlslons. Two proposals were recelved as follows:

These unlts will be used as replacements for those worn by age, and
are no longer serv~ceable or repairable.

Fabricators and f1nds that it meets C1ty specificatlons.
Budqet!Flnancial Impact
Flscal Year 1994-95 approprlation authorlty for this purchase lS
in the SOlld Waste Divislon, Envlronmental and Public Works
Management Department, account number 27-500-441-00000-4427-00000.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2509 be made to
Consolidated Fabr1cators at specifled unit prices, plus applicable
tax, as the lowest and best bldder.
