SUBJECT: Resolutlon Naming Persons Authorized to Execute Documents
In Accordance with P L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert
T. Stafford Disaster Rellef and Emergency Assistance Act
of 1988, or State Financial Assistance under the Natural
Disaster Assistance Act.
INTRODUCTION
This report recommends that Council adopt a resolutlon naming
persons author~zed to execute documents ~n accordance with the
Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, or State Financlal Assistance
under the Natural Disaster ASslstance Act.
BACKGROUND
Resolution #8384 currently authorizes named lndividuals to slgn
offlc~al Clty documents relating to state financlal assistance
resultlng from major emergency situations. Publ~c Law (P. L.) 93 -
288 requires such a resolutlon.
In order to comply with reporting requirements lnstltuted by the
State, an amended resolution 18 required to add Richard Bridges,
Flre Chief, and Katle E. Llchtlg, Sr. Management Analyst, as named
8~gnators on all official documents relating to P.L. 93-288 and
State Financlal Ass18tance. Add~tionally, the re80lut~on deletes
the Emergency Services Coordinator as an authorlzed signator.

RECOMMENDATION
It ~s recommended that the City Council adopt the attached
resolution authorlz1ng John Jalili, City Manager, Lynne Barrette,
Ass1stant City Manager: Katle E. Licht1g, Sr. Management Analyst;
James T. Butts, Chlef of Pollce; and Richard Bridges, Flre Ch~ef to
execute documents 10 behalf of Santa Monica Emergency Services
pursuant to P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988.

MONICA AUTHORIZING JOHN JALILI, LYNNE C. BARRETTE, KATIE
E. LICHTIG, JAMES T BUTTS, AND RICHARD BRIDGES TO
EXECUTE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED UNDER P.L. 93-288 AS AMENDED

ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1988, OR STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
