Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems, Bid
#2462
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to provide maintenance of
Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems for the
Transportation Department, at specified amount and two one year
renewal options.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published June 2
and 3, 1993) to provide maintenance of heating, ventilating and
air conditioning systems in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read on June 17/ 1993
Proposal forms were mailed to nine vendors and notices were
advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provisions. Five proposals were received as follows:

This bid covers monthly maintenance and repairs to the heating,
air conditioning and ventilating systems in the Administration
and Maintenance buildings.
Staff has evaluated the low bid submitted by Harbor Pointe Air
conditioning and finds that it meets City specifications.
BUdget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1993/94 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Transportation Department, account number
41-600-651-11201-5501-25315.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2462 be made to Harbor
pointe Air Conditioning at specified rates as the lowest and best
bidder.
