SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Provide Janitorial
Services for the Main Library, Bid #2458
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to provide Janitorial Services
for the Main Library Department, at specified unit prices,
including applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to pUblished Notices Inviting Bids (published June 2
and 3, 1993) to provide Janitorial Services for the Main Library
in accordance with City specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on June 17, 1993. Proposal forms were
mailed to seven vendors and notices were advertised in accordance
with city Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Four proposals
were received as follows:
Monthly Rate
1) Izzy Carpet Care $ 720.00
2) Power Building Janitorial Services (WMBE) $ 1,150.80
3} Starkist Maintenance Co. $ 1,400.00
4) Coast Building Maintenance (WMBE) $ 1/500.00
