Applicatlon Fees
JNTRODUCTION
On October 26/ 1993 the Clty Council dlrected staff to prepare a
resolutlon exemptlng Chlld care centers from plannlng applicatlon
fees. A resolutlon accompllshlng such exemption lS attached to
this report.
BACKGROUND
At the October 26, 1993 meeting, the City Council approved on first
reading an ordlnance streamllnlng development standards for child
care centers in multl-famlly resldential distrlcts (adopted on
November 9 I 1992) . In a related motlon, the Councll directed staff
to prepare a resolution exempting chlld care centers from planning
appllcation fees. The requested resolution 18 attached to this
report.
BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommendatlons of thlS report would have a minor flscal
impact. It lS estimated that there would be a reduction of
approximately $2000 ~n annual fee revenues as a result of exempting

RECOMMENDATION
It lS respectfully recommended that the City Council adopt the
attached resolutlon exempting chlld care centers from planning
fees.
