Introduct1on
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver
mlscellaneous ]anltor1al supplies at specified unit pricesl plus
applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Invitlng Blds (publlshed October
19 - 20, 1992) to furnlsh and deliver miscellaneous janitorial
supplles ln accordance wlth Clty specifications,
bids were
recelved and publlcly opened and read on November 6, 1992.
Proposal forms were mailed to seventeen vendors and notices were
advertised In accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provlslons. Three proposals were received as follows:

This bid covers a variety of janitorial products such as mop
buckets, trash cans, dispensers, mops, squeegees and sponges.
Staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets city
speciflcations.
Budget/Financ1al Impact
Fiscal Year 1992-93 appropr1ation authority for this purchase 15
1n the maintenance accounts of various departments.
As the
materials are drawn out of inventory, they wlll be expensed
against available FY 1992/93 appropriation authority.
Recommendatlon
It 15 recommended that the award of Bid #2438 be made to Natlonal
San1tary Supply at specified unit prices, plus applicable sales
tax, as the lowest and best bldder.
