Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver One (1)
New and Unused 8,500 GVWR Cab and Chassis with Dump Type Stake
Body for the Parks Division, cultural and Recreation Services
Department, in the total amount of $17,990.58, including
applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
September 10 and 11, 1990) to furnish and deliver One ( 1) New and
Unused 8,500 GVWR Cab and Chassis with Dump Type Stake Body in
accordance with city specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on October 2, 1990. Proposal forms were
mailed to fourteen vendors and notices were advertised in
accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions.

Cummings Buick-GMC Truck $19,339.06
This vehicle will be used by the Parks Division for maintenance
and irrigation of City sites. Staff has evaluated the low bid
and finds that it meets city specifications.
BUdget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1990/91 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Parks Division, Cultural and Recreation Services
Department, account number 01-400-511-00000-8806-00000.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2311 be made to Santa
Monica Ford in the total amount of $17,990.58, including
applicable tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
