SUBJECT: Adoption of Resolution Establishing Salary for video
Training/Production Coordinator
INTRODUCTION
This report requests adoption of the attached salary resolution
establishing the salary rate for this classification.
BACKGROUND
The City cable television station utilizes as-needed employeesr
volunteers and student interns in the preparation and performance
of a multitude of its productions. This has created a need for
the addition of a staff member to train and oversee the
coordination, training and development of these personnel. The
City recognized this need by adopting this classification towards
the end of the previous fiscal year.
A recent salary survey of comparable cities has been conducted
and salary recommendations reflect current market compensation.
BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds are included in the budget for Fiscal Year 1990-91 to cover
all salary costs related to the adoption of this salary
resolution.

RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached salary
resolution establishing the new salary rate for this position
classification.

CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADOPTING A SALARY RATE
FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF
VIDEO TRAINING/PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
THE CITY COu~CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The following monthly salary level
is hereby established for the indicated permanent classification,
effective October 10, 1990.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
