Introduction
ThiS report concerns an award of bid to furnish and deliver vehicle fuels at speCified Unit
prices, plus all applicable taxes, With two (2) one-year renewal optIons
Backaround
In response to published Notices InViting Bids (published July 14 and July 15, 1997) to
furnish and deliver vehIcle fuels In accordance With City speCifications, bids were received
and publicly opened and read on July 21, 1997 Proposal forms were mailed to twelve
vendors and notices were advertised In accordance With City Charter and MUniCipal Code
prOVIsions SIX proposals were received as indicated In Attachments A and B
In accordance WIth Resolution No 8966 (Burma Polley), none of the bidders do bUSiness
In or With companies Involved In Burma
In accordance With past practice of the City'S fuel suppliers, fuel prices are based on the
weekly publication referred to as the "Oil Price Information ServIces" (OPIS) because of
price volatility ThiS means that bids for the vehicle fuels are based on a "Fixed Adder or
