Introduct~on
This report concerns award of bId to resurface the shop faCIlity
floor ln the Transportation Department, In the total amount of
$19,000.00, including applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices InVIting Bids (published January
11 - 12, 1993) to resurface the shop facility floor in accordance
with City specIflcatlons, bIds were received and publlcly opened
and read on January 26, 1993. Proposal forms were mailed to nine
vendors and notIces were advertised in accordance WIth City
Charter and Municipal Code provIsions.

staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets City
speciflcatlons.
BUdget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1992-93 appropr1at1on author1ty for th1S purchase is
1n the Cap1tal Improvement Program Budget, Transportation
Department, account number 41-750-657-20093-8900-99104,
"Transportation Facility Improvements".
Recommendation
It 1S recommended that the award of Bid #2449 be made to Baltic
BU1lders in the total amount of $19,000.00, 1ncluding applicable
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
