dramatically. citizens have often raised issues about open space
in the context of reviewing planning projects. These issues

The Open space Element, as required by state law, will contain a
set of Citywide goals and implementation policies for the
preservation and expansion of open space, parks and scenic
corridors.
In September, the city issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to
prepare an Open Space and Scenic corridors Element and EIR. Six
