SIgnal ModIfication Montana Avenue and Ocean Avenue
INTRODUCTION
This report recommends that the City Council award a contract In the amount of
$14.90000 to C T & F , Jne , the lowest responsible bidder, for the modifIcation of the
traffic signal at the intersection of Montana Avenue and Ocean AVenue
DISCUSSION
This project mstalls an additional signalized pedestnan crosswalk at the Intersection of
Montana Avenue and Ocean Avenue The project mcludes adding pedestrran signal
heads, push buttons. a painted crosswalk and reallgmng an eXisting handicap ramp on
the north leg of the IntersectIon The project Will provide a more convement crossmg to
and from Palisades Park for the pedestnans north of the intersectIon, thus resulting In a
less Circuitous route for those people
Following the published advertisements, bIdding packages for the installation of thIS
signal were requested by three (3) contractors One (1) bId was receIved, and read by
the Deputy CIty Clerk on Monday. June 30, 1997 The bids received were as follows

change orders necessary to complete additional work to the extent of funds
avaIlable In accordance with the AdminIstrative InstructIon on Change Orders
