This report concerns an award of bid to provide brake service and supplies for passenger
cars and light and heavy trucks for the Fleet Management DIvISion, EnvIronmental and
Public Works Management Department, at specified umt prices With a one-year renewal
option

In response to publIshed Notices Invitmg Bids (published June 13 and 16, 1997) to
provIde brake service and supplies for passenger cars and light and heavy trucks In
accordance With City specifications, bids were received and pubhcly opened and read on
June 23, 1997 Proposal forms were mailed to four vendors and notices were advertIsed
In accordance With City Charter and MUnicipal Code provIsions Two proposals were

Recommendation
It IS recommended that award of Bid #2647 be made to Associated Truck Brake Supply, at
specified percentage discounts and hourly labor rate, plus applicable tax with a one-year
renewal option, as the lowest responsible bidder
