This report concerns an award of bid to provide tIre recapping services for the Fleet
Management DIvIsion, Environmental and Public Works Management Department, at specified
percentage discounts, plus applicable sales tax, with two one-year renewal optrons
Backaround
In response to published Notices InVIting Bids (published June 13 and 16,1997) to provide tire
recappmg services In accordance with City specIfications, bids were received and publicly
opened and read on June 23, 1997 Proposal forms were mailed to five vendors and notices
were advertised In accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code prOVIsions Two
proposals were received as follows.
