Ordinance Amending Santa Monica Municipal Code
Section 6601A to Increase the Transient
Occupancy Tax Rate
At its meeting on June 16, 1987, the City Council
introduced for first reading an ordinance amending Santa Monica
Municipal Code Section 6601A to increase the transient occupancy
tax rate from its current rate of 2% of the total amount paid for
room rental to 4% of the total amount paid for room rental. The
ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
ordinance be adopted.
