Ordinance Repealing Section 9390 of the
Santa Monica Municipal Code
At lts meeting on August 15, 1984, the City Council
directed the C1ty Attorney to prepare an ordinance repealing
Section 9390 of the Santa Monlca Municipal Code. In response
to thls directlon, the accompanying ordinance has been
prepared and 1S presented for City Council consideration.
MunlClpal Code Sectlon 9390 provldes:
SECTION 9390. Lot Size. Sizes
of lots in any subdivision shall be
commensurate with the size of lots in
contiguous or adJacent areas but ln no
event shall any lot have less than
f1fty (50) feet of street frontage or
less than five thousand (S,OOD) square
feet of net area.
The repeal of thlS section will result in appllcatlon of
minimum lot standards set forth in the zoning ordinance,
1nclud1ng provisions authorizing a variance from minimum lot
standards in unusual situations.
