Resolutlon Extending Proclamations of Local Emerqency
On January 27, 1983, the Dlrector of Emeraency Servlce s ,
pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2305, proclai~en a local
emergency to eXlst withln the Clty of Santa Monica and made and
lssued certaln rules and regulatlons.
On February 1, 1983, the
Cl ty Councll adopted Resol ut~on NUPlber 6621 (CCS) ra ti fYlng,
conf1.rming, and apprOV1.ng the Director of EMergency Servlces'
proclamation of local emergency and the rules, regulations, and
actlons taken pursuant thereto.
On March 1, 1983, the Director of Emergency Services,
pursuant to Munlcipal Code Sectlon 2305, proclalmed a local
emergency to eXlst withln the City of Santa Monlca and made and
issued certaln rules and regulations. On March R, 1983, the Clty
Councll adopted Resolution Number 6642 (CCS) ratlfying,
conflrmlng, and approvlng the Director of Emergency Services I
proclamatlon of local emerqency and the rules, regulatlons, and
act~ons taken pursuant thereto,
Governwent Code Section 8630 requires that the City Counc~l
revlew at least every 14 days the need for contlnuinq the local

At the present tlme r conditions do not warrant the
term1natlon of the local eMergency.
RECOMt1ENDATION
It is respectfully reco~mended that the accompanyinq
resolutlon be adopted.
