Resolutlon Extending Proclamations of Local Emergency
On January 27, 1983, the Dlrector of Smerqency Services,
pursuant to MunlCloal Corle Section 2305, proclalmed a local
energency to eXlst witnln tne Clty of Santa Monlca and wade and
issuer'! certaln rules and regu] at ions .
On Fenruary 1, 1983, tne
Clty Council adopted Resolut1-on Nurnher 6621 (CCS) ratifyino,
conflrminq, ano approvlng the Dlrector of EI'lergency Services'
proclamatlon of local eMergency and the rules, regula t.lons, ann
actlons taken pursuant thereto.
On f>.1arch 1, 1983, the Dlrector of EMergency Servlces,
pursuant to Hunlclpal Code Bectlon 2305, proclalmed a local
emergency to eXlst wi thln the Cl ty of Santa Honlca and made and
lssued certaln rules and resulatlons. On March 8, 1983, the Clty
Council adopted Resolutlon Number 6642 (CCS) ratifYlng,
conflrmlng, and approvinq the Director of Energency SerVlces I
proclamatlon of local emerqency anrl the rules, regulations, and
actlons taken pursuant thereto.
Government Code Sectlon R630 requires that the City Council
review at least every 14 days the need for continulng tne local

eMergency. At the present tlme I condl t10ns do not warrant the
terminatlon of the local emergency.
RECOMMENDATION
It 1S respectfully recoTt1I'1enderJ that the accompanYlna
resolutlon be adopted.
