Resolut1on Extend1ng Proclamatlons of Local Emergency
On January 27, 1983, the Dlrector of Emergency Services,
pursuant to Munle~pal Code Seetlon 2305, proelalmed a local
emergency to exist within the City of Santa Monica and made and
issued certaln rules and regulations.
On February 1, 1983, the
Clty Councll adopted Resolutlon Number 6621 (CCS) ratlfYlng,
conflrm1ng I and approvIng the Dlrector of Emergency Services I
proclamation of local emergency and the rules, regulatlons, and
actlons taken pursuant thereto.
On March 1, 1983, the Director of Emergency Serv.1ces,
pursuant to Munlclpal Code Section 2305, proclalmed a local
emergency to eXlst wlthln the City of Santa Monlca and made and
lssued eertaln rules and regulatlons. On March 8, 1983, the Clty
Counell adopted Resolutlon Number 6642 (CCS) ratifYlng,
confinLung, and approving the Dlreetor of Emergency SerVlces I
proclama tlon of local emergency and the rules, regulatlons, and
aetlons taken pursuant thereto.
Government Code Beetlon 8630 requlres that the Clty Councll
reVlew at least every 14 days the need for contlnuing the local

emergency. At the present t~me, condit1ons do not warrant the
term~natlon of the local emergency.
RECOHHENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
resolutlon be adopted.
