Resolutlon Extendlng Proclamatlons of Local Emergency
On January 27, 1983, the Director of Emergency Servlces,
pursuant to Hunlclpal Code Seetlon 2305, proclaimed a local
emergency to eXlst withln the Clty of Santa Monlca and made and
lssued certain rules and regulatlons.
On February 1, 1983, the
Clty Councl1 adopted Resolut~on Number 6621
(CCS) ratifYlng,
conflr~lng, and approvlng the DLrector of Emergency Servlces'
proclamatlon of local emergency and the rules, regulations, and
actlons taken pursuant thereto.
On Barch I,
1983,
the Dlrector of Emergency Services,
pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2305, proclaimed a local
emergency to eXlst withln the City of Santa Monica and made and
lssued certain rules and regulatlons.
On March 8, 1983, the City
Council
adopted
Resolution

6642
(CCS)
ratlfying,
conflr~ing, and approvlng the Dlrector of Emergency Services'
proelamatlon of local emergency and the rules, regulatlons, and
aetlons taken pursuant thereto.
Government Code Seetlon 8630 requires that the Clty Counel1
reVlew at least every 14 days the need for contlnulng the local

emergency. At the present t~me, cond~tions do not warrant the
term1natlon of the local emergency.
RECOMMENDATION
It 1S respectfully recommended that the accompanying
resolutlon be adopted.
