Resolution Extendlng Proclamatlons of Local Emergency
On January 27, 1983, the Dlrector of Emergency Servlces,
pursuant to Mun~clpal Code Sectlon 2305, proclalmed a local
emergency to eXlst wlthln the City of Santa Monlca and made and
lssued certain rules and regu1atlons.
On February I, 1983, the
Clty Councll adopted Resolut~on Number 6621
(ccs) ratifYlng,
conflrming,
and approvlng the Director of Emergency Services'
proclamatlon of local emergency and the rules, regulations, and
actions taken pursuant thereto.
On March 1,
1983,
the Dlrector of Emergency Services,
pursuant to l1uniclpal Code Section 2305, proclalmed a local
emerge~cy to exist withln the Clty of Santa Monlca and made and
issued certaln rules and regulations. On March 8, 1983, the City
Councll
adopted

COnflrffilng, and approving the Dlrector of Emergency Servlces'
proclamatlon of local emergency and the rules, regulatlons, and
actlons taken pursuant thereto.
Government Code Seetlon 8630 requlres that the Clty Councll
reVlew at least every 14 days the need for continulng the local

emergency. At the present time, cond1tlons do not warrant the
term1nat1on of the local emergency.
RECOMMENDATION
It 18 respectfully recommended that the accompanying
resolut~on be adopted.
