Resolution Extending Proclamatlons of Local Emergency
On January 27, 1983, the Dlrector of Emergency Services,
pursuant to Municipal Code Sect~on 2305, proclaimed a local
emergency to exist w~thin the City of Santa Monica and made and
issued certaln rules and regulations.
On February 1, 1983, the
C~ty Council adopted Resolution Number 6621 (CCS) ratifYlng,
confirming, and approvlng the Dlrector of Emergency Services'
proclamation of local emergency and the rules, regulat1ons, and
actions taken pursuant thereto.
On March 1, 1983, the Dlrector of Emergency Services,
pursuant to Munlclpal Code Section 2305, proclaimed a local
emergency to exist within the City of Santa Monlca and made and
issued certaln rules and regulations. On March 8, 1983, the Clty
Councll
6642 (CCS) ratifying,
adopted

Government Code Section 8630 requires that the City Council

and the Clty Councl1 is not in session; and
WHEREAS,

extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have arisen
wlthin the Clty of Santa Mon~ca caused by storm, high tides, and
heavy surf; and
WHEREAS, the Clty Council was not 1n session on January 27,
1983; and
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1983, the Dlrector of Emergency
Servlces of the Clty of Santa Monlca did proclaim the existence
of a local emergency withln the Clty of Santa Monlca; and
WHEREAS, on February 1,

to contlnue to eXlst ln the City of Santa Monlca until lts
termlnatlon is proclalmed by the City Council of the Clty of
Santa Monlca.
