A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA PROCLAIMING THE
CONTINUED EXISTENCE OF THE LOCAL EMERGENCY
WHEREAS,
MunICipal
Code Section 2305 authorizes the
DIrector of Emergency ServIces
to proclaIm the eXistence or
threatened eXistence of a local emergency when the City of Sart~
Manica
IS affected or lIkely to be affected by a publIC calamIty
and the City Council 15 not In session; and
WHEREAS,
commencing on January 27, 1983,
condItIons of
extreme perIl to the safety of persons and propertv h~ue arIsen
WIthin the City of Sa~ta MonIca caused by storm, high tides, and
heavy surf; and
WHEREAS, the CIty CouncIl was not In seSSIon on Ja~uary 27,
1983; and
WHERE~S, on January 27, 1983. the Director Ot Emergencl'
SerVIces of the City of Santa Monica did proclaim the eXistence
of a local emergency WithIn the CIty of Santa Montca; and
WHEREAS, on February 1,
1983, the CIty CounCIl adopted

MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
