establIshIng the 1985-1986 salary rate for City Eng1neer.
Background
CIty EngIneer 1S beIng changed from the ExecutIve Pay Plan to the
Management Team ASsocIates bargaInlng unIt (M.T.A.), concurrent
wIth the 1985-1986 budget. The effect of the attached resolutIon
will be to place CIty EngIneer at the approprIate range on the
new M.T.A. salary grId.
The recommended salary placement is
based on an analysl S of both external salary data and Internal
alIgnment consIderatIons.

ThIS prOVISIon IS provIded for In the 1985-86 budget of the
General SerVIces Department, EngIneerIng DlVISlon.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The followlng monthly salary level IS hereby
establlshed for Clty EngIneer, effectlve July 7, 1985:
