This report recommends the Clty Council approve a revision to the Recycling Budget
to reflect a reductlon of $30,000 ln the State Solid Waste Management Board Grant
awarded to the Clty for a Curbslde Recycling Program.
Background
On May 15, the Clty was awarded 5263,000 to fund the Curbside Recycling Program.
Staff's oflglna1 request was for $293,000. The current FY 81/82 Recycllng
Budget (Page 246) reflects the full $293,000 fundlng request. Therefore, Staff
recommends the City Council approve the following revlsions in line items in
the Recycllng Budget to accurately reflect the $30,000 reduction in the grant
award. In addition) $2,000 should be deleted from Item 802 as the original
request was for 517,000, not $19,000.
