SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a
Memorandum of Understanding with the Administrative
Team Associates
INTRODUCTION
This report requests that Council adopt the attached Resolution
authorizing the city Manager to execute a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with the Administrative Team Associates.
BACKGROUND
A resolution was passed by city Council on September 19, 1989,
recognizing the Administrative Team Associates (A.T.A.) as a new
bargaining unit representing certain job classifications formerly
represented by the Municipal Employees Association.
Negotiations to establish a Memorandum of Understanding between
the City of Santa Monica and the Administrative Team Associates
commenced on September 21, 1989, and resulted in the attached
MOU. This agreement was ratif ied by the membership of the
Administrative Team Associates on November 20, 1989.
This agreement includes cost of living increases for FY89-90 and
FY90-91: and provides employee benefits similar to those set
