Rated (G~v.R) Cab and Chassis with 30' Telescoping
Personnel Lift, Bid #2312
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver one (l)
new and unused 11,000 GVWR Cab and Chassis with 30' Telescoping
Personnel Lift for the Traffic Operations Division, General
services Department, in the total amount of $40,472.13, including
applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
September 10 and ll, 1990) to furnish and deliver one (1) new and
unused ll,OOO GVWR Cab and Chassis with 30' Telescoping Personnel
Lift in accordance with City specifications, bids were received
and publicly opened and read on October 2, 1990. Proposal forms
were mailed to ten vendors and notices were advertised in
accordance with city Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Two
proposals were received as follows:

staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets city
specifications.
Budget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1990/9l appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Traffic Operations Division, General Services Department,
account number 01-500-416-00000-8806-00000.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2312 be made to Altec
Industries, Inc. in the total amount of $40,472.13, including
applicable tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
