SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Provide Services and
Materials to Refurbish a 1974 Walters Aircraft Rescue
and Firefighting Vehicle, Bid 2287
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to provide services and
materials to refurbish a 1974 Walters Aircraft Rescue and
Firefighting Vehicle for the Fire Department, at specified unit
prices, plus applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published May 23
and 24, 1990) to provide services and materials to refurbish 1974
Walters Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Vehicle in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened
and read on June 12, 1990. Proposal forms were mailed to six
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions.
