SUBJECT Recommendation to award concession for tennis
instruction and shop Bid No. 1307
Introduction
This report concerns the award of an exclusive concession agree-
ment for professional tennis instruction and operation of a
tennis "pra" shop at Lincoln Park during the period November 1,
1977 through October 30, 1980
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids for this three-
year concession agreement, proposals were received and publicly
opened and read in the office of the City Manager September 27,
1977. Proposal forms, including pro forma contracts, were
mailed to twenty-eight (28) prospective bidders and notices
were advertised in accordance with city charter and municipal
code provisions. Three (3) bids were received, as follows:

These monthly minimum rentals are subject to second and third
year adjustments reflecting changes upward or downward in the
Consumer Price Index. The current concession contract, which
expires October 31st, calls for $452.00 per month plus six (6)
per cent over the minimum rental
Recommendation
It is recommended that the concession agreement be awarded to
J. Briscoe Eisendrath and Gregg T. Kail, as the highest and best
b~dders.
