I..troduction
This report concerns rejection of two (2) bids received for lease
of City property to be used as a parking lot. This property has been
rented on a month-to-month basis since June, 1974.
Background
The invitation to Bid and Proposal for this property contained
inaccurate information as to the approximate area to be paved by the
lessee. Subsequent to bid opening March 13, 1979, one (1) of the
participating bidders stated that his bid and his exception were based
on amortization of paving costs for the area cited in the proposal
package rather than the actual, lesser square footage.
~his property will again be offered publicly for lease if this Staff
recommendation is accepted.
Recommendation
It is recommended that all bids received for lease of a parking lot,
per Bid Number 1434. be rejected.
