isolated City property sites in accordance with City

sites:
Landscape West, Inc. $7,500.00/year
California Landscape Maintenance, Inc. $12,240.00jyear
A landscape maintenance contract has been awarded for the past
nine years. The contract includes maintenance of 21 Parks
Division sites including median strips and small landscaped
islands throughout the City as well as landscape maintenance of
11 Parking Authority sites. Due to the large number and isolated
nature of these sites, staff has determined that it is not
efficient to deploy city Parks Maintenance crews to perform these
maintenance functions given the valuable time lost in travelling
and moving maintenance equipment from site to site. In addition,
City maintenance staff is currently maximally committed to
maintaining the City's parks and major landscaped thoroughfares.
staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets city
specifications, and is below the budget estimate.
