ReVlsion of Map. Drawing and Specification Fees
Introduction
This report requests the City Council direct the City Attorney to prepare
an ordlnance amending Sectlons 7501. 7502. and 7504 of Chapter 5. Article VII
of the Municlpal Code.
Background
Sections 7501 and 7502 relate to the fees charged by th~~
_~~p~tmentJ!~r_maps. drawlngs. and specificatlons. Staff believes these
sectlons should be amended to state the fees will be set by resolution of
the Council. Section 7501 relatlng to Maps and Drawings was last revised in
1970; Sectlon 7502 relatlng to Standard Specifications was last revlsed in
1951. At the tlme of adoption of the ordinance. a resolution should be passed
setting the fees. Section 7504 would be amended to state. Ilf1alllng and
handling fees may be charged to prospective bidders. as determlned by the
Ci ty Counci 1. "
Staff requests that the fee for reproduclble prints be increased from $1.25
for the first square foot and 25~ for each additional square foo4 to $1.25
for the first square foot and 70~ for each addltional square foot. Standard
Spec1flcations would be changed from $3.50 to the City's cost plus 10%.
