Introductlon
Th1S report recommends that the Parklng Author! ty adopt the
attached resolut1on establ1shlng the Percent for Art program for
thls agency.
Background
At lts meetlng on Aprll 24, C1ty Councll adopted a resolutIon
establlshlng the Percent for Art Program. In order that thl.s
program 1nclude parklng proJects, the Clty Attorney has advlsed
the Arts Commlss1on that the Park1ng Author! t y must also adopt
the resolution.
Budget/F1nanclal Impact
As the FY 1984-85 budget has not yet been adopted, It lS not
poss1ble to determ1ne the exact f1nanclal lmpact of thls program
on the Parklng Authon ty at thls t1me. However, the entlre
Percent for Art budget proposal w1ll be deta1led 1n the Arts

A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADOPTING
PERCENT FOR ART PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the CIty of Santa Monica has
established an Arts Canmission to carry out certain specified
purposes; and
\'1HEREAS, the Arts Commissions has recommended that the city
CouncIl of the City of Santa Monica adopt a Percent for the Art
Program; and
l.'1HEREAS, by Resolution Number 6854 (CCSl the City Council
of the CIty of Santa Monica has adopted a Percent for the Art
progran; and
WHEREAS, the Parking Authority of the CIty of Santa Monica
desIres to make the Percent for the Art program applicable to
capItal proJects that it carries out,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CI TY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. The Percent for Art Program adopted by the
City CouncIl of the City of Santa Monic a by Resolution Number
6854 (CCS) , is hereby made applicable to the Parking Authority of
the City of Santa Monica.
