SDBJECT: Alrcraft Tiedown Rate and Hanaar Rent Increase
INTRODUCTION
Th~s report transmlts a proposed ordinance for lntro-
ductlon WhlCh would allow the fees for alrcraf~ tle downs and
hangar rental at the Santa ~onlca Munlclpal Alroort to be set
by resolutlon. ~his ordlnance was requested by Counell as IteM
lOA at its November 15, 1979 meetlng.

After a surve'1 of the Hawthorne, Lonq Beach and Van ~uys
Alrports l t became apparent that Santa ;'>1onlca Alrport rates were
extremely low. In order to brlng our fees up to a reasonable
level the Alrport Dlrector suggested a 25% lncrease. ~he Clty
Councll agreed wlth thlS. ~he attached ordlnance allows th0se
fees to be set by Resolutlon. The attached qesolutlon settlng
t~e dollar aMount of- those fees could then be ado?ted at the
second readlng of the ord~nance.
