INTRODUCTION

ThlS report transmlts a proposed ordinance for lntro-
ductlon WhlCh would allmv the fees for alrcraft tle dm.;ns and
hangar rental at the Santa ~1onlca Jl.luDlclpal Air:oort to be set
by resolutlon. ~hlS ordlnance was req~ested by Councll as IteM
IDA at lts November 15, 1979 Meetlng.
RACFG-q0UND
After a survev of the Fa'i.<Jthorne, Long Beach and Van N11YS
Alrports lt became apparent that Santa Monlca Alrport rates were
extremely lm,1.
In order to brLng our fees up to a reasonable
level the Alrport Dlrector suagested a 25% lDcrease. ~he Cltv
Councll agreed wlth thlS.
The attached ordlnan~e allows tDose
fees to be set by R.esolutlon. The attached -qeso11.ltion settlng
the dollar a~ount of those fees could then be adopted at the
second readlng of the ordlnance.

lnconslstencles and no further, are hereby repealed or modlfleo to
that extent necessary to affect the provlslons of thlS ordlnance.

unconstltutlonal by a declslon of any court of any coropetent jurls-
