On-street Handicap Parking Zones
INTRODUCTION
This report recommends City Council adopt a resolution
establishlng
on-street
handicap parking zones at various
locations.
BACKGROUND
Staff
has received requests for handicap parking zones
adjacent to the First United Methodist Church located at 1008
Eleventh Street, a 4 unit apartment complex located at 1107 21st
Street and Abbey Rents located at 2200 Wilshire Boulevard. Staff
has reviewed all the subject locations. The proposed zone in
front of the 4 unit apartment complex on 21st Street has been
approved by all the residents of the complex.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended City Council adopt a resolution establishing
handicap parking zones adjacent to 1008 Eleventh Street, 1107
21st Street and 2200 Wilshire Boulevard.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
CERTAIN ON-STREET HANDICAPPED PARKING ZONES
WHEREAS, Mun1cipal Code Section 3366A author~zes the
establ~shrnent of handicapped parking zones by resolution;
and
WrlEREAS, the Park1ng and Traffic Engineer has found
that suff1cient veh1cular actlvity by disabled persons
exists at 1008 11th Street, 1107 21st Street, and 2200
Wilshire Boulevard,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Municipal Code Section
3366A, handicapped parking zones are established on the
streets adJacent to 1008 11th Street, 1107 21st Street,
and 2200 wilshire Boulevard.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
