Background
On Hay 27.
1980 (Item 6C) the City CounCll adopted an
ordlnance to enable the establishment
of parking
zones for
phys~cally
handlcapped.

RESOLUTION NO. 7148(CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUN~IL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING PHYSICALLY
HANDICAPPED ZONE ADJACENT TO 717 11th STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Mon1ca has
enacted~ an ordinance enabling indiv1duals to request parking
zones for physically handicapped person; and
WHEREAS. the City has received a request for a physically
handicapped zone; and
WHEREAS. the Parking and Traff1c Engineer has considered
the request and concluded. based upon the factors stated in the
ord1nance, that an add1tional physically handicapped zone may be
installed at the requested locat10n.
NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
A physically hand1capped zone is hereby
establ1shed on the east side of 11th Street adjacent to 717 11th
Street.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of th1s resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
