INTRODUCTION
Th1S report recommends Clty Councl1 adopt a ResolutIon
establlshing a physically disabled park1ng zone adJacent to ADEPT
located at 1610 26th Street.

BACKGROUND
Staff has receIved a request for a phYSically disabled parking
space from ADEPT located at 1610 26th Street. ADEPT 1S a social
serVlce agency which deals with individuals that are severely
d1sabled.
Staff has reviewed the request and has determ1ned the subJect
locat1on is appropr1ate for one physlcally dlsabled parking
space. There w1l1 be no adverse 1mpact on street parklng 1n the
area as a result of thls action.
RECOMMENDATION
It 1$ recommended C1ty Council adopt the attached Resolut1on
establ1shlng a physically dlsabled park1ng zone adJacent to 1610
26th Street.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
CERTAIN ON-STREET HANDICAPPED PARKING ZONES
WHEREAS, Munlcipal Code Section 3366A authorizes the
establlshment of handlcapped parking zones by resolutlon; and
WHEREAS, the Parking and Traffic Engineer has found that
sufflcient vehicular activlty by dlsabled persons exists at 1610 26th
Street.
NOW, THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Munlcipal Code Sectlon 3366A. handi-
capped parklng zone be established adJacent to 1610 26th Street.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
thlS Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
