Reed:
I will move that the Clerk be authorized to post
lO-day notice and accept the resignation of...
Zane:
Can I amend that we enter Mr. Kirschner's letter of
resignation into the record?
Reed:
The chair of the Planning Commission specifically asked
that it not be made part of the record; she regards it as
personal to herself since it was directed to her and she intends
to answer it.
Discussion.
Reed: Ok, the motion then will be adjusted to reflect that the
letter of resignation transmitted to the chair of the commission
will be included in the record, accepted with regret, and the
notice will be posted for 10 days and it will be agendized for
the next regular council meeting, with the regular deadline.
Second by A. Katz. approved.
14-H: PLAZA VISTA PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS: Presented was

Zane: I would if we could get staff to respond to my concerns
about whether we have the options, having recently read some
newspaper articles evaluating the adequacy of the EIR. It seems
to me that if indeed that newspaper article, the reported
references are is accurate, that there is serious problems ahead
for the city of santa monica.
Discussion.
Zane: There is new information and I would like to ask staff to
react to. I provided I think copy of the summary, I've got now a
copy of the report, i'd like to ask staff to preact to the report
and to tell us whether we have any options legal or advice to
respond. what i want to find out is whether we have any options,
legal or otherwise, to respond.
Reed: Ok, Mr. Zane's motion is to ask, direct staff to respond
to the concerns raised in the report on the traffic circulation
plan of Playa Vista and report back to the council.
Zane: If that could be listed as a '5' item, that wId be fine.
Reed: And if it takes the staff more than 2 weeks, is it ok, Mr.
Zane, if they come back in 2 meetings instead of 1 meeting.
Zane: That's fine.
