SUBJECT: Olympics Perlod Tenant Protections
At lts neetlng on Barch 13, 1984, the City Council
introduced for firs t reading an ordinance prolLlbiting most
evictions (other than for good cause) and Ilmiting rent lncreases
to seven percent durlng the period from May 1, 1984, to August
31, 1984. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for
adoption.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accoJIlpanying
ordlnance be adopted.
