SUBJEC T: 1977-1978 County "Aid to Citiestl Gas Tax Program (C-86)
Introduction
This report is requesting the City Council to adopt a resolution
requesting the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to appro-
priate I1Aid to Cities II Gasoline Tax Funds in the amount of
$122,906 to the City of Santa Monica for the purpose of performing
certain street repair work.
.I3ackground
Each year, the County appropriates certain Gas Tax funds to Santa
Monica for the purpose of improving and maintaining our IlSelect
System" of streets.
Included in the 1977-1978 City budget is an amount of $125,000
which was estimated to be our 1977-1978 allocation. The County
has subsequently notified US that the actual amount is $122,906.
It is the staffTs intention to utilize all of these funds for
repairing and resurfacing the following streets:
1. Fourth Street between Wilshire Boulevard and Pico
Boulevard.
2. Twenty-third street between Ocean Park Boulevard
and Dewey stree t .
3. Twentieth street between Colorado Avenue and
Wilshire Boulevard.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the c~ty Council adopt the attached
