Program.
Introductlon
This report recommends $23,900 from General Funds be appropr1ated to conduct
a Trafflc C1rculatlon and Parking Study for the Central Bus1ness District.
Background
At 1ts January 27, 1981 meetlng (Item 6-P), City Council authorlzed the C1ty
Manager to negotlate and execute (1) a contract with Mahle-Perry & Assoc. for
a Trafflc C1rculat1on and Parking Study of the Central Business Dlstr1ct 1n
an amount not to exceed S19,400, and (2) a contract with Lau & Assoc. for an
Intersectlon Capaclty Analysis and Trafflc Synchronlzat1on Program 1n an
amount not to exceed $4,500.
Staff falled to recommend C1ty Council appropr1ate the $23,900 from General
Funds to pay for the proposed contracts.
Recommendatlon
It is recommended City Council approprlate $23,900 from General Funds to
conduct a Traffic Circulatlon and Parklng Study for the Central Business
Dlstrlct and to develop and Intersect10n Capaclty Analysls and Traffic
Synchronization Program.
