Santa Monlca Munlclpal Code, Relatlng to
Take-Off and Landlng Operatlons at the
Santa Monlca Munlclpal Alrport
Introductlon
ThlS report transmits the attached ordinance for
relntroductlon WhlCh was requested at the Council Meetlng
of November 8, 1977. The amended ordinance would allow
nlght landlngs and would allow daytime fllght operations
to begln at 6:00 o'clock a.m. Monday through Frlday and
7:00 olclock a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Background
ThlS ordlnance was orlglnally requested by the
Clty Councll at lts meetlng of July 12, 1977, and held
over until October 11, 1977 where it was lntroduced and
and a publlC hearlng was held thereon.
4t the October 25, 1977 counCll meetlng a matlon
was made to a~end the ordlnance, wlth a publlC hearlng on
the reintroductlon set for the Noverober 22, 1977 Caunell
Meetlng. The amendments would approve night landings and
restrlct take-offs to certaln hours durlng the week.
