SUBJECT' Recommendation to award bid for Lumber for Santa Monica
Pier. Bid No. 1583
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Lumber in the total amount
of $13,708.08 including applicable sales tax Funds for this
purchase have been budgeted in account number 30-400-622-000-322.
Backgroun<i
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Lumber for Santa ~onica Pier in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read January 29, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to nineteen
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. One proposal was received.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Can-Cal ~1ills, Inc.
in the total amount of .08, including tax, as the lowest
and best bidder
