SUBJECT. Recommendation to increase amount of award for lumber
for Santa Monica Pier to reflect the correct total
amount. Bid #1583
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for lumber in the corrected
amount of $17,993.13 including applicable sales tax.
Background
On February 24, 1981 Council approved an award to Can-Cal ~1ills,
Inc. in the amount of 13,708.08 for lumber for Santa Monica
Pier. Because of a transposition of figures, an error in compu-
tation was made which resulted in an incorrect amount being
anproved by Council. The correct figure is $17,993.13.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Gan-Gal Mills, Inc.
in the corrected total amount of $l7,993.l3 including tax as
the lowest and best bidder.
