In response to this direction, the accompanying ordinance is presented for c~ty Counc~l consideratlon. CA:RMM:BB:r City Council Meeting 9-8-81 Santa Monica, California ORDINANCE NUMBER 1222 (City Council Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 1202 (CCS) TO DESIGNATE THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AS TREASURER OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 4 of Ordinance Number 1202 (CCS) is amended to read as follows: Section 4. The Mayor of the City of Santa Monica shall be the Chairperson of said successor Redevelopment Agency, the Mayor Pro Tern the Chairperson Pro Tern of said agency, the Clty Manager the Execu- tive Director of sald agency, the City Clerk the Secretary of sald agency, and the Dlre~tor of Finance the Treasurer of sald agency. Each of said officers shall serve without compensation in addition to that . . which they receive as officers and and employess of the City of Santa Monica. The Director of Finance, as Agency Treasurer, may appoint a Deputy Treasurer who shall receive additional compensation for such duties. SECTION 2. Any prOVISIon of the Santa Monica MunicIpal Code or appendices thereto lnconsistent with the provisions of this ordInance, to the extent of such inconsistencies and no further, is hereby repealed or modified to that extent necessary to affect the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validIty of the remaIning portions of the ordInance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordInance and each and every section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase not declared invalid or unconstitutional without regard to whether any portion of the ordinance would be subsequently declared invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall attest to the passage of this ordinance. The City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the -2- '" ~- . . off1C1al newspaper within 15 days after its adoption. The ord1nance shall become effective 30 days from its adoption.
