SUBJECT: Recommendat1on to Adopt Land Use Plan of Local Coastal
Program
INTRODUCTION
On Apr11 22, 1986, the CounC11 accepted for publ1c review the
Land Use Plan (LUP) of the Local Coastal Program (LCP) and set
May 6, 1986, as the date for the public hear1ng on the matter.
BACKGROUND
The proposed LUP was rev1ewed by the Plann1ng Comm1ssl0n 10
October
1985,
and
subsequently
forwarded
to
the
Coastal
Comm1SSlon staff.
Revislons have been made to reflect comments
of the Planning Conrrnission and Coastal Commission staff.
'These
reV1Slons are descr1bed 1n the Aprll 22, 1986, staff report.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT
The recommendation of th1S report wlll result 1n no f1nancla1 or
budgetary 1mpact.

RECOMMENDATION
It ~s respectfully recorr~ended that the C~ty Counc~l;
1) conduct a PubllC Hearlng on the matter;
2) adopt the LUP as presented by staff; and
3) authorize the staff to prepare a flnal adopted verS10n of the
LUP, l.ncludlng l.mproved maps and graphl.cs, and to tranSffil. t
the final LUP to the Coastal Commisslon for certlfication.
