Ordinance Amending Santa Monica Municipal Code
section 9422 Relating to the Applicability of
1990 Revisions to the City's Inclusionary Housing
Program
At its meeting on May 22, 1990, the city Council directed
the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance amending Municipal Code
section 9422 relating to the applicability of the 1990 revisions
of the City's Inclusionary Housing Program to delay the effective
date for small projects from March 27, 1990, to April 17, 1990.
In response to that direction, the accompanying ordinance has
been prepared and is presented to the ci ty Council for its
consideration.
The accompanying ordinance amends Municipal Code Section
9422 to make the 1990 revisions to the City's Inclusionary
Housing Program applicable to current development projects. This
ordinance makes the 1990 revisions apply to projects with five or
more units for which an application was filed with the city
Planning Division on or after March 27, 1990. For projects with
fewer than five units, the application must have been filed on or
after April 17, 1990, for the 1990 revisions to apply to those
projects.

It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
ordinance be introduced for first reading.
