Ordlnance Adding Munlclpal Code Section 3396 to
Provlde for Parklng Meter Permlts
At lts meetlng on June 14, 1983, the City Council
lntroduced for flrst readlng an ordlnance to provlde for an on
street parking permlt to be used at deslgnated parklng meters.
The ordlnance 1S now presented to the Clty Counell for adoptlon.
RECOMMENDATION
It lS respectfully recowmended that the accompany~ng
ordlnance be adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SA~ryA MONICA
ADDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 3396
TO AUTHORIZE PARKING METER PERMITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA~~A MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 3396 of the Santa Mon1ca Municipal Code
15 amended to read as follows:
Section 3396.
Parkl.ng Meter
Perm1ts.
Notw1thstanding any other
proviS10n of this Code, any person may
park a vehicle at designated parking
spaces in the C1ty without the necessity
of depos1ting C01ns in the meters
adjacent to such space I provided said
vehicle has d1splayed in the manner
required by the Traff1c and Parking
Eng ineer a permit l.ssued by the Cl. ty
authorizing the veh1cle to park in the
space without the necess1ty of depositin~-
such coins and provided the parking meter

SECTION 4.
The Mayor shall s~gn and the City Clerk shall
attest to the passage of this ordinance.
This City Clerk shall
cause the same to be publ1.shed once in the official newspaper
w~ thin 15 days after 1. ts adoptlon.
The ord1.nance shall become
effect1.ve after 30 days from its adoptlon.
