Ordinance Amending sections 3393A and 3393E of
the Santa Monica Municipal Code Relating to
Parking Meter Zones
SUBJECT:
At its meeting on May 13, 1986, the City Council directed
the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance establishing parking
meter rates of $.35 per hour in the Wilshire Boulevard, Santa
Monica Boulevard, and downtown areas, and rates of $.50 per hour
in the Main street and Ocean Avenue areas. In response to this
direction, the accompanying ordinance has been prepared and is
submitted to the city Council for its consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
ordinance be introduced for first reading.
